    At Clitheroe Royal Grammar School we offer 27 different A level courses. Students study 4 subjects to AS level in the Lower Sixth and continue with 3 of these in the Upper Sixth. All courses consist of 6 modules, the first three leading to AS and the second three to A2. AS examinations will be taken in all subjects at the end of the Lower Sixth. A2 examinations will be taken at the end of the Upper Sixth.   24. Davies Laing and Dick College
    DLD is an independent sixth form college in Marylebone in central London. There are 390 students at the college most of whom are preparing for A Level exams over two years. There are also about 60 students at DLD preparing for GCSE exams on a one year intensive course or a two year course. Teaching was considered to be generally very good or excellent, with students receiving thorough preparation for their targeted examinations, and there was excellent support for students applying for higher education. The level of pastoral support received by students from their personal tutors was exceptionally high. The management was effective in maintaining an overall strategy for continuous improvement while staying in touch with the needs of individual students.
